Nokia store SMS not in SIM but on the phone memory (usually) or on MMC (if u set it)
To recover SMS u need a file recovery program since the smses are files named by a number and without extension saved into memory space like images, video etc. There isn't a softw to recover file on symbian OS so phone memory is unrecoverable(!!) (it cannot be analyzed by a PC!!) but if u store SMS onto MMC so u have chances to find them by connect it directly to a PC.. of course if u haven't already overwrited the files u need!! (when u delete a file the spaced used is considered "avaiable" but until u never use it, or part of it, the old deleted files remain in that position!!). {Only if u have bacup sms to MMC}

If ur SMS are stored in MMC if you need to recover the message try using this software
