Here is a handy Python s60(NOKIA supported) tool for saving and restoring the "Applications.dat", the file that holds the settings and locations of icons and custom folders located on your phone's MENU.
Sometimes we need to swap RS-MMC's and I am tired of re-setting my MENU icons and folders back to its original place after I switchback to my original RS-MMC. So here is my solution.
I am sorry but I have yet to find time developing a C++ version, I have lots of law books to read and jurisprudence to review. N-Gage games emulation forced me to make this.

This is a freeware and provided as is, so I will not be responsible for any phone malfunctions, if ever but I doubt if there will ever be, that it may cause. Install at your own risk.
You may either install this on the phone or RS-MMC, but it is advisable to install the applications on your primary RS-MMC, not the spare one. The GUI is self-explanatory and straightforward.
There are two versions:
1. mRestore_only.sis - This installation will only work if you already have the Python S60 runtimes.
mRestore_only.sis
2. mRestore_PyS60.sis- This installation will install both the tool and the Python S60 runtimes. PyS60 1.3.1 will only work for 2nd Generation S60 phones.
mRestore_with_PyS60.sis
*For 3rd Generation S60 Phones use mRestore_only.sis and the file below, install both files to your phone.
pythonfors60_1_3_8_3rded_selfsigned.sis
*All other PyS60 files here.
This is a standalone version and not a script.
Just give me a "THANKS"

Enjoy.
