Symbian Signed Certificate Installation
Symbian_signed.ZIP
27-Oct-04 | 19.0 KB | English
To ensure application quality and optimal user experience,Symbian OS licensees including Nokia have adopted a new application testing program called Symbian Signed. For the device to be able to recognise the the Symbian Signed applications properly, they need to have a specific certificate installed into them. This will remove the installation warning message when installing Symbian Signed applications. Some Nokia models (Nokia 3600, Nokia 3620, Nokia 3650, Nokia 3660, Nokia 6600, Nokia 7650 and Nokia N-Gage) may not have the certificate in them. You can use the Certificate Installation Application to install the needed certificate into the device.
To view your certificates go to Tools>Settings>Security>Certif. Management. In this list you should see a certificate called "Testing ACS Root" or "VeriSign Testing-Based ACS root for Symbian OS Symbian Limited". If you do not see the certificate on the list, then use the Certificate Installation Application to install it there.
