Re: Symantec Mobile Security Virus Definition Feb 17/2006 Just double click on the LUDownloader batch file. It will bring up the dos like prompt with three optoins. Choose the product u want the updates for by keying in the corresponding number and pressing the ENTER key. The updates will be downloaded to the Patches directory in the ZIP files format. Note: By default, LUDownloader attempts to download product patches for every supported language. To download patches for a subset of languages: 1.Open the Products directory. 2.Open the folder for the desired product. 3.In the languages.ini file, comment out the languages that are not needed by inserting a # symbol at the beginning of the line.  CautionI recommond U to install the definition files only coz when I installed the AV engine updates and the Liveupdate engine updates, it messed up my 6600 and it just wouldn't startup and I had to format it. So be careful and don't forget to shutdown ur autoprotection and firewall before applying the updates. I consider u know the procedure to apply the updates. There is a text file named LUDownloader, refer it if U still not satisfied. Hope this helps U. If u need further help do write in.

Re: Symantec Mobile Security Virus Definition Feb 17/2006 U don't need a GPRS connection at all. Actually this utility works from the PC. U just need a PC running windows and an internet connection. U need to Transfer the Downloaded update files from ur pc to phone via bluetooth and then apply the updates using the procedure given by Adeeb in one of the earlier posts.
