This trick allows u to browse mobile websites in ur Mozilla browser and change the default browser ID ( user agent string) to just anything.
WML plugin
for viewing mobile web, u need to install a wml plugin called wmlbrowser in Mozilla which is attached in the post.
The current version of wmlbrowser is 0.6.10. This release is for both the Mozilla Suite and Mozilla Firefox.
To install wmlbrowser,
Install the wmlbrowser 0.6.10 XPI file by opening it in Mozilla.

Restart your browser. If you have more than one window open, make sure you close them all before restarting.
Following a restart, you should check the wmlbrowser preferences to ensure that the system is set up as you want. Use the Edit->Preferences menu to bring up the Mozilla Preferences window. Choose the wmlbrowser option from the left-hand pane.

Changing User Agent
User Agent basic theory:
Whenever a Web browser hits a Web site, it announces itself to the Web site by sending along what's known as a 'User Agent'. Some Web sites look at this User Agent to determine whether or not to let you into their site. For instance, Microsoft's Hotmail only allows Internet Explorer into the site; Mozilla users are not allowed into Hotmail. in case of mobile web, e.g. Airtel checks for the User Agent of a mobile device (e.g. a phone- nokia, SE, Moto etc....), if the user agent does not belong to a mobile device airtel does not allow u into its site.
However, it is possible to spoof the User Agent that your browser sends to Web sites. In other words, you may be using Mozilla on Linux, but you announce yourself as Internet Explorer on Windows or a Nokia on Symbian (or just anything) for those few sites who foolishly require a certain browser for entrance.
Changing the User Agent in Mozilla is actually pretty easy, but it requires changing a hidden preference. do the following...........
1. open the mozilla browser, in the address box (the location where you normally enter a URL) type: " about:config " (instead of http://whatever.com), it gives you access to your user.js file, which is where you can override your useragent string (among other things).
2. perform a Right click on the page , it will allow you to add a new string. Name the string " general.useragent.override ". Give it a value equal your new user agent. e.g. if u want to fake as OPERA 7.54 u can enter this user ID ---- Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Opera 7.54u1 [en]. Mozilla is now masquerading as your new user agent. if u want to fake as a mobile device, rename the user agent as in a mobile device, e.g. for a nokia3230 it is.......Nokia3230/2.0 (3.0505.2) SymbianOS/7.0s Series60/2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0.........faking a mobile device in this way will let u access some mobile websites (like Airtel or Vodafone) which specifically require a mobile device for browsing.
Restart Mozilla for your changes to take effect.

u can put just anything in place of a user agent, it could be a swear word, or a funny line or simply anything.
