Application Description
NetFront for S60 is a modular, scalable, full-featured mobile browser that supports full Internet browsing and offers the most comprehensive feature set currently available in the market. To make mobile browsing convenient, NetFront for S60 includes unique technologies like Smart-Fit Rendering™, which intelligently adapts standard Web pages to the screen width of a S60 phone and eliminates the need for horizontal scrolling. To get information as fast as possible NetFront starts displaying a Web page in a simplified format and automatically enriches the layout as more elements get downloaded. This Rapid-Render technology allows you quickly gain an overview about the contents and select further reading links before the complete download of larger objects such as pictures or animations.
NetFront provides S60 mobile professionals with a fast and powerful mobile Internet browsing experience and advanced features like configurable short¬cuts for fastest access to program functionality, seamless integration with contacts and messaging appli¬cations, and support for user style sheets.
Features:

New features in NetFront v3.3 are an intelligent Pop-Up Blocker, RSS/Atomfeed support, web data and password manager, multiple browser windows, and improved DHTML support. This version is compatible with Nokia 6600, 6260, 7610, 6670, 3230, 6630, 6680, 6682, 6682, and N70.
IMPORTANT:
1. it is clear that this version has no option to set proxy address and port. if ur access point has no proxy settings then there's nothing to worry about, u can simply install the application and start using it. but remember if u just overwrite an earlier version of netfront u have to delete the file called 101f53e2.ini from c:/system/shareddata before u start using this version or u won't be able to access settings in the options menu. it is still better to do a fresh install, uninstall the previous version completely.
2. if u access net via proxy, the proxy settings need to be embedded in in 101f53e2.ini file coz there's no way in the application for u to enter them. if u use the ini file from previous versions like 3.2 u can access net but u woold not be able to access settings menu, when u do so netfront will be simply closed. at the same time all the settings in 3.3 will be set to default values like most popups will be blocked, u can't disable images at startup, u can't change cache settings, u can't redefine keypad, u can't change useragent etc. this means a big letdown for most of us.
also if u simply edit the ini file and change the proxy address and port or modify any thing, there are maximum chances that the application will simply close or won't open, or if it opens u won't be able to access settings menu. it may also happen that after editing if u start netfront then netfront will replace ( or delete) this file with a default ini filewith no proxy settings. or if u exit ur edited ini file is replaced with a default one. never edit the ini file in notepad it will spoil it coz it contains binary data. u have to stick with hexing rules.
so i have come up with a solution to overcome these problems. i have patched the ini file embedding the proxy settings in it in such a way that there's no problem ( at least for me) the application behaves normally, it lets me access and change settings plus i have my proxy settings intact.
i am also enclosing a sample ini file for Airtel Live! Mumbai subscribers. just replace this ini file with the default ini file before u start netfront.
Code:
Also on request, i can make ini files for any subscriber on any network with his proxy settings. just give me ur proxy settings and little time.
waiting for ur response.
Code:
A modified version of Netfront 3.3.21 with new icon and Nokia UserAgent is also available. get it here....http://www.gsmhacks.com/forums/mobil...ification.html
