XXLScreenSaver 1.09 UPDATE

More 'looks' have been added, it's now possible to create user skins analog clock directly without the need to manipulate the mbm files (you supply a JPG file and a 'definition' file), each new skin is automatically available in the list, you can also create full screen ANIMATED graphics without using the .mbm file (also, provide a JPG and a 'definition' file); the animation can have up to 5 frames, an user defined icon can be used for missing calls & messages !! ...

How to install it :
-------------------

NOTA : to prevent possible problems, the 'settings' are reset to default after each installation, please review them; sorry for this inconvenience.

1) install the SIS file like usual; this may takes a few seconds, don't 'cancel' the process !

2) go into the ‘Themes’ section

3) edit your current theme

4) Highlight the ‘screen saver’ element in the listbox

5) choose “GoSymbian.com” instead of (Date and time, Text)

6) run the XXLConf ig application from the main menu

7) highlight either the analog or the digital clock

from the menu, choose 'Activate'

9) the phone will reboot

10) wait ....

PS: at any time, you can switch between the analog or digital clock using XXLConfig


How to install a new version or to remove it :
----------------------------------------------

NOTA : to prevent possible problems, the 'settings' are reset to default after each installation, please review them; sorry for this inconvenience.

1) go into the ‘Themes’ section

2) edit your current theme

3) Highlight the ‘screen saver’ element in the listbox

4) choose “Date and time” (another that XXLScrSaver.dll)

5) remove the previous version (with the manager)

6) RESTART YOUR PHONE !! VERY IMPORTANT !!

7) reinstall as describe previously

How to use the configuration program :
--------------------------------------

1) go to the settings via the 'options' key ('options/settings')

Here are the settings :

Second hand - on/off : choose either you want to display the second hand or not while in the analogic display (not used for the digital display)

Hour fomrat - 12 hour/24 hour : in the digital display, choose the format 12 or 24 hour (not used for the analogic display)

Redraw after(sec) - 2...60 : choose the time between two redraws of the random display, the period goes from 2 to 60 seconds

Saver mode - mode 1/mode 2 : the XXLScreenSaver can work with two modes :
mode 1: the display is entirely redrawn, this mode uses more energy but runs on all phones
mode 2: the display is partially redrawn, this mode uses less energy but not all phones can use it due to the themes installed, due to some other application, ...

2) once the settings are done, return to the main screen; there, you can choose the display you want with the joystick, highlight your selection and hit the [enter] button (more
selections will come in the future ....)

3) the system will ask to 'save & reboot' confirm and ... wait !!!

NOTA :

* if you don't save & reboot, you settings are lost if you qui the program !
* using the [ENTER] key of the joystick has the same effect that using the menu : 'Activate & save'

How to remove the XXL ScreenSaver :
-----------------------------------

The 2 components must be removed separetly

1) go to the "Application manager" of your phone

2) scroll down until you get the "XXL Engine"

3) chose 'Options/Remove' to remove the engine.

4) scrool down until you get the "XXL ScreenSaver"

5) chose 'Options/Remove' to remove the configuration panel.
