But the Sending sms with the :1xxx and :uxx
I don't know how it works with this!!!!
wow thanks saad. works great =D.
by the way do you mean :l: (no space) password ?
you can set it so when the person turns on your phone you get their sim info but the phone does not lock and they have no idea you know they have it, well till they check their outbox =/. then you can send a message with :l:yourpassword to their number to lock it. if you have your inbox on the active standyby screen better make it a long pw cuz the thief could see it in there for a second.

thanx man, but when the new sim is inserted the phone auto locks at startup triggers the alarm and sends the message, and locks! , now is it possible to Unlock the phone by sending the :upassword) ?
Phone guardian lock mode is: Both .
Because i tried sending a lock message without changing any sim card, it didn't do anything.
with my original sim inside i sent both lock and unlock messages and they both locked and unlocked the phone.
then i set my phone guardian to Both, put in my mom's sim and started up my e61, a few seconds later it was locked. i sent the unlock message (:u:...) and it unlocked.
for me i think i'll keep "lock on sim change" off and just lock it remotely or not at all and surprise the thief one day =).
Finally it worked! Stupid me I thought :1:xxxx the L is 1 as number one lol then i thought about it as small letter L But hey when the phone is locked it did not triggered the alarm!! Is it due to the Message tone ?
i remember reading the manual online or the one on the phone (options>help) saying the phone alarm will go off no matter what profile when the phone is locked. i just tried it with a lock sms but didn't work..

Reason: made a big error
when someone changes the simcard the alarm triggers but when u send a remotely sms lock to your own simcard as a test for example the Message tone override the Alarm tone thus you can't hear the alarm, try disabling the Message tone in your General profile and send and sms lock see if it triggers the alarm.
