Which GPS receiver is recommended for N73?
I've checked some that connect with SPP but N-series don't have SPP bluetooth...
So, which do think is the best n how much its gonna be?
Thanks!!!

I found this on another forum

Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/34338609/route66.zip
Use this this .sis file if you are using on N95, dont think it will work on other Nokias as the GPS is premanently set to the internal GPS.

the file will need to be signed. Guide Below
How to Sign Unsigned applications?

Enjoy!
I tried it on my N95 but still no GPS signal please give me further instructions! what did you do to make it run with internal GPS? I instaled it on the card, can this be the problem or what?...

Ok here is what I did.

First I transferred all the files to the memory card (system/route66/)

I then installed the .sis file to the phone memory

When I first tried it, it took around 7 mins to pinpoint my GPS location. now everytime I use it, it gets a signal within seconds.

all I can suggest you do is Leave route66 runnning until it does find your location. after that it should be fine. I use mine everyday for work & it has never let me down (yet!)

3)Use FExplore or Y-Browser to transfer the ActivationKey in (Phone)C:\system\apps\ROUTE66

-I made some precisations in to your post!-

Thanks Man! it worked! today finaly I was able to drive to the office with my N95 voice guidance and no other external GPS!

I firstly istaled it on my Card and I think I didn't had the patience to wait until the signal was received! or it won't work! IF Others make it work from the Card, please let us know!

The fact for sure is that it work if you instal it on the phone!

I uploaded here the file you posted the link for, in case it will not be anymore avaiable on rapidshare!

Thanks a lot for your share! I was expecting this file from long now and I hope TomTom will release a patch too!

so try this link: * Link Removed because of violation of polices *

or download the instalation file here! remember to instal it on the phone not in the Card!

(couse of limitaion of 5Mb you will have to rename the files you download from "...unsigned01.zip" to "...unsigned.z01" and "...unsigned02.zip" to "...unsigned.z02" then extract them with "...unsigned.zip")

Nice to hear you finally got it working!
Sorry I realise my last post was a bit ahem..brief! was kinda half asleep.

route66 may be good, but I will be switching back to tomtom once they get full support for the N95.

Ok, I tested it, and it works on the N95. Just followed the instructions given. Problem is, no map for Philippines that I am aware of. ha ha

But I just wanted to test to see if it works with the embedded GPS, and it does. The first version at the beginning of this post doesn't.
