One touch dial

Posted: 11-14-2003, 07:09 PM
One thing I've never figured out how to do on my T68i is set up a single
button dial. For instance, I can push and hold down 1 to get my
voicemail... is there a way to set up holding down 2 or something to
call a contact?

Also, is there any way to automate the use of after-market long distance
cards with this phone?

Except for the [1] key - that dials to voicemail - there is no
single key dialing with /// or S///, since holding other number
keys leads you to the phone book.

But hitting [2] to [9] keys plus [#] key gives you exactly this
function, dialing number 2 to 9 entries from the SIM.

Well, two keys is better than ten! Thanks!
(And thus, a year of suffering ends...

Hehe, if your cell is bluetooth enabled, get a headset and use voice
dialling... Voila, 1-button dialling.

I LUV my HBH-35! It is awesome.

I have one, but... uh... it has been acting very strange for the last
few months, and of course it's fresh out of warranty. :P

I'll replace it in the new year, I imagine.

How's the battery life on the HBH 35? That was one thing I wasn't fond
of with my HBH 30.

All you have to do is set a number of contacts on the sim on position 1 to
9.

Then a short press on one to nine, and press "yes". That's the way I've been
doing since my 688, 868, t29, t68(i) and t610.

Yes, I really should have. It's amazing how much suffering I'm prepared
to live with sometimes...

(I probably did a newsgroup search a year ago and spelled ericsson
wrong. I always forget the double s.)
