p900 GPRS data usage seems high

Hi all,

Apologies if any of you have seen this in another newsgroup. I felt
justified in cross posting given that that many p900 users will have
bought it for its online capabilities.

Do any of you have experience of using GPRS with both Series60 and
UIQ Symbian based handsets (ie. the 7650 and the p800 / 900)?

I have been using the p900 over the last couple of days and have
noted that the GPRS usage is far greater than that of the 7650 when
performing the same simple task such as browsing a wap page (same
page) or sending emails of equal size. A task using say 19k of GPRS
data on the p900 can be performed with the 7650 using as little as
1-2k.

While this is not a vast amount whichever way you look at it, it will
add up over time and especially when the GPRS allowance is only 3MB
with the bundle I currently have.

Can anyone confirm if this is right or is there something wrong
somewhere?
