How can I find out the software version of my T610?
Is there a code I can key in that would bring out that information?
Thanks
Jorge

A quick search of Google groups would have yielded the answer to this very
frequently asked question.

Surprisingly the people behind the counter in CPW don't know this and also
the guy behind the window at his equiped desk for some reason puts a sim
into the phone before using the code to check the software version. Could
possibly be general practice to see if the phone's nicked but I doubt it
somehow.
Oh the incompetence at CPW....

i think that might have something to do with people claiming the dudes
working at cpw made calls with their phone.
you can just see it, cant you?
people saying oh, and then the dude at cpw started pressing all these
buttons... i did not make that call/send that message...

though...

Thanks for that.
The SW version in my phone is R1A081.
What are the diferences between the two versions? I mean does it worth
upgrading?
If so, where in Central London can I get the upgrade done without having to
send the phone away for two weeks?
Thanks again.
Jorge

Any of the S/// service centres listed here should be able to do it for you,
ring around to find one who can do it while you wait. (R's Electrics does,
but they're in North London not central). http://www.usenetz.clara.co.uk/uk_ncs.htm
