Any non-Widcomm based BT dongles?

If I want to check for email or write a letter, I open the appropriate
app & click a few buttons & it's done. Nearly anything to do with phones
& the phase of the moon suddenly comes into play.

The SE Phone Monitor program is probably the weakest link in the chain
even with my SE serial cable but the Widcomm s/w will refuse to play
sometimes. What pisses me off the most is the loss of being able to
power down my PC - it now reboots instead under XP. Even tried disabling
the BT LAN & exiting the SE & BT s/w 1st - no difference.

The advantage that XTNDConnect has over the BT Sync app is filtering &
the option to choose the folder - I have one for my phone apart from my
main Contacts folder.

I don't know if the full version of XTNDC still needs the SE PM app
(more reliable if not?). It will be interesting to see if MS include a
BT stack in their replacement for XP.

If 3G, Edge, BT & imaging is going to take off - the connection to
computers needs to far more seamless & reliable.
