Unable to unlock orange T610?

Got myself 2 T610's from Orange this week and have been trying to get
one unlocked. The 2 local people I took it to couldn't do it for some
reason. The first connected it to what looked like a Nokia 3410 and the
second used a computer (I'd had the firmware updated before I took it to
the second). Both times there were error messages. Neither of them had
any idea why it would'nt work (I'm in Edinburgh).

Does anyone know if the T610 can be unlocked? I would like to use one
with my O2 SIM. If not I'll just have to sell both of them instead of
just the one... :-(

Perhaps there is someone I could send it off to? I've seen DVDS_2000
mentioned, but on their web site it only mentions remote unlocking.

One last thing...if it can be unlocked & I put my O2 SIM in it, will
this get rid of the 2 Orange icons also (Orange/Orange WAP)?

I got my T610 unlocked in Aladdin's Cave in Leslie, Fife.

It was also orange, but unlocking doesn't get rid of the icons. Need to take
it to Sony Ericsson service centre in Glasgow to get rid of those.
