I have read there is no way of disabling it which seems quite annoying.
Any thoughts on the camera shutter? Does putting the phone on silent not get
rid of it? Can you select different sounds for the shutter?
TIA

there is a mute function for the shutter... whoever told you that it
cannot be disabled probably has a p800 with an older firmware... the
new firmware has this feature.

Definitely not! I really recommend it - if you've read this group you'll
have seen the few bugs and annoyances.. but the benefits far outway this!
