T610 Crashes

Posted: 08-06-2003, 02:57 PM
If I go into Call list and scroll down beyond about the 20th number the
phone will crash. Does anyone else have this problem?
The handset is on Orange-UK.

Any ideas for a solution?
Orange say this isn't a fault but "a feature of modern handsets"

Thanks for any help,

Peter

Can you pinpoint it to a special contact? Maybe there's some
information scrambled. If it is a special contact just erase and
recreate it and all should run fine.

if not, just try a backup and a master reset to clean things up a bit.

Probably not related, but my T610 crashes when I receive certain long SMS
messages. Unfortunately, it also destroys the SIM card. It has been at Sony
Ericsson repair in New Jersey (US) for the past three weeks. I'm not very
happy with the T610.

Cliff.

I had noticed this when I first got mine to. Only if I held the scroll for a
long time ( 25 seconds) didn't crash completely but holding down the <- key
eventually sorted it. Just tried to reproduce the error, can't do it now

I'm fast reaching the conclusion that Orange Customer Services are utterly
useless now. Having been an Orange customer for several years I am now
seriously considering ditching them after the conversation I suffered with
an OCS supervisor yesterday evening. Quite unbelievable, I understand the
difficulties front line staff must face on a daily basis if they have
leadership in the form last nights fool.

Arrogant, rude, unhelpful. Supplied me with innacurate information, failed
to resolve my problem. I did get his name, as will all of Orange senior
management by the end of the day.
