Is it an hidden feature which can tell (with a tune or something) that
an email has been received or is it impossible to get any sound (or vibration).

The best you can do is get your email checked every so many hours and look
for the icon on the screen. That's as loud as it gets :-(

Alternatively, have mail come via an ISP that will send SMS
notifications - they can make noises or vibrate! I realise this is an
extra step you probably were hoping to avoid, but your emails don't
actually get sent to the phone - you have the facility to check for
them which means there is nothing for the phone to notify you of prior
to doing a check.
