This one aspect of the T610 I have been disappointed with. The battery life
is noticeably inferior to the T68i. I too am recharging every two day and it
is down to about 30% when I recharge. The T68i would take at least 3
sometimes four to get to the same point. Phone always on, BT on.
Guess I have been "showing off " the camera but still..

I guess it is the camera/display that does this. I get similar battery life
to my T68i if I just use the T610 as a 'phone. All the time you are using
the camera, the display is running and so it is hardly surprising the
batteries charge dissappears somewhat more rapidly

Yeah Fair enough I was fiddling with all the new gadgets for a few days but
I have been using it just like my old phone for a while now.

It seems almost as if the battery level always seems to be lower than I
expected. I give it a full charge then an hour or two later it has already
moved down a little. Because I don't have a car charger yet I am worried
about getting caught short.

I have never let it go right down yet but I wonder if it can last longer
than the display suggests. Like some cars can run on empty for ages where
some others stop as soon as you hit the red zone :-)

Maybe it will last longer if the phone is not discoverable? (bluetooth)

Yes, AFAIK that's the way to calibrate it. Charge it for twelve hours the
first time. Then let it run down completely until it shuts down. Repeat this
two or three times, though I don't think you have to charge it for twelve
hours the other times.

This will teach the battery meter how long the battery life is and
apparently it will train the battery as well.

I did this with my T300, running it down by leaving the backlight on,
playing games and loud ringtones. After a couple of times the battery life
increased a whole lot.
