P800 and COM 0 (yes really) problem

Having problems setting up my bluetooth connection to my Laptop (HP
Omnibook running windows 2000)

Even though have set it to use com7 when I try to connect it errors
on unknown port - I have found that it is trying to use port 0 which
doesnt exist - any clues?
