P800 and COM port 0 error

I am trying to bluetooth my P800 and my HP Omnibook via bluetooth.
Even though I have set it up to use COM port 7 whenever I try to
connect (it says its paired) and fails on unknown port error - it
tries to use port 0

Any clues?
