P800 " fucking " Birthdays .....

Well, more or less, Kristie's right. I have several Newton MessagePad
2100s, and there is that phantastic software calles Avi's Backdrop that
tells you about upcoming birthdays 14(!) days in advance. This is last
millennium hard- & software! Now it seems rather antiquated for a top
notch device as the P800 is not to have a decent birthday feature. All
birthday-data from my Newton has been synced to the Mac's addressbook,
but it will not sync to the P800. I consider a digital assistant to
assist me, and reminding me of birthdays is crucial. Not doing it
suck's, to be honest.
Isn't there any 3rd-party software that will add a birthday / special
event field to contacts, grab data from addressbook and all the whatnot
on the wintels, and decently display all upcoming birthdays for a
variable timespan on the P800's mainscreen?

I agree - without the fucking of course :-) Not syncing birthdays is a
major oversight and SE really should have fixed this by now.

I know it's a major pain, but I manually went through all my birthdays and
changed them to be appointments at 9am. This way they sync and reminders
work again. It's only a one-off job and I managed to do it in about 15
minutes. Probably easier than crossing your fingers and installing 3rd
party software that may or may not exist...
