Upgrading from T39

Posted: 07-09-2003, 04:39 PM
Looking for opinions on upgrading from my T39 (US/T-Mobile).

I've looked briefly at the T610 online and it looks like the type for
me. I'm an admitted gadget head.

Any other similar things out there?

I love my T39; it's durable as hell and has just been the most
reliable phone I've ever had, but I want to jump into the color world.

The reviews on the T610 never mention (specifically) a web browser.
Is this just assumed now? (I've been out of the market for a few
years, so not up on the "state of the art", etc.)

TIA

Would agree the T610 is probably the one for you. Only had mine a few day
but impression are good.
Only thing I would caution is if you live in an area of marginal signal. The
T68i will drop reception way before the T39 and most Motorolas will. I
though the T610 would be better but it's not.

The only other phone I considered was the Siemens S55 which I hated the menu
system on.

Keep your T39 as a backup - I have!

Not a full web browser, no, but the WAP browser is WAP 2 compatible.
