T39m error - 'GPRS parameters not supported'

Posted: 07-08-2003, 02:11 PM
Hi,

In the UK, on Vodafone, I have my T68i set up with two GPRS data
accounts (using Vodafone VIZZAVI GPRS) - one with a 'data' APN for
wap, and one with an 'internet' APN for email (using my ISP providers
POP DNS and the SMTP DNS as smtp.vizzavi.net).

This works fine; I can send/receive email via GPRS, and I can use wap
to browse pages via GPRS too.

I have configured my T39m (R2 firmware) in exactly the same way, but
when I go to send/receive email, I receive the error - 'GPRS
parameters not supported'. GPRS *is* enabled on the T39 account.

Can anyone please help, this is doing my head in!!

Cheers.

Ahh M., we meet again.

I sussed the problem - Vodafone wouldn't activate the data APN on the
tariff I use for the T39m - it's too low. Up the tariff to Voda200 or
higher, and I get data APN.

Cheers,

Steven.
