24/CTU Ringtone

Posted: 07-07-2003, 05:14 AM
Hi all,

I found a CTU .mid ringtone here:

http://www.andycrellin.com/Extras/ctux.mid

however, once on the phone its almost inaudible unless I hold it right to me
ear, a bit pointless for a ringtone unless I glue the phone to my ear.

All of these polyphonic ringtones are great and all, but sometimes its nice
to just have a close-to-normal tone for once.

Could someone please point me to a CTU ringtone that will actually work on
my T610.

TIA

Volume is already set on max. You have to create a loop (i.e. create a new
midi file using a midi editor like swiftlet containing a repetition of the
tone at least 8x). Ridiculously the 610 has a built in volume suppression
for the first two or three rings.

Yes, this is the same on the T300 (and I assume the T310, too). Why must SE
make the polyphonic ringtones 'fade in'? Does the MIDI processor or speaker
need warming up or some other peculiarity?

Either way, this feature sucks. Unless SE fixes the myriad of basic problems
such as this, my T300 will be my third but _last_ SE phone.
