I'd suggest the following:

go to www.omega-networks.net

buy one of their connecting cables (unless you already own one) either
$10 or $15

buy an upgrade over the web - $10

total $25 and the phone never leaves your side.

You also have the cable for the next firmware upgrade :-)

hth!

A recipe for disaster if you're not careful, as the insutrctions provided
are not comprehensive. Common problems include reduced battery performance,
crippled bluetooth...

What can I say? maybe things can go wrong, maybe my car might break
down tomorrow??

All I can tell you is:

a) I'm not connected in any way to the company concerned
b) done two phones now, my T68i and my Wife's T68m - both upgraded
perfectly well, first time, no problem with battery performance and
bluetooth works just fine thanks.

US$17 !! - *great* value for money.

No one anywhere will tell you if, when and which .arm file to flash for what
hardware version. More business for those guys to fix the mess anyway.

the link I posted leads to an order form. fill in the order form,
which asks for the hardware info'
In my case two similar but differing phones
I got back two separate 'logs' that updated the phones on an
individual basis.

Worked flawlessly and with a T68i 's value being around $125 I
considered it better value for money than spending one third of that
for someone else to do a pretty easy job - no more hazardous than
flashing the bios on a motherboard
