Deskstand for k750i

hello again, forgot to put this question in with my last post - sorry!
i was just wondering if it was worth purchsing a desk stand for tyhe
k750i? is it only possible to charge the phone using this stand or can
i also use it for data synchronisation with my pc?

It might help to know that the standard USB data cable included with
the K750i also charges the phone.
