P910i MMS question

A friend of mine has been trying to send me a 'voice' MMS to my P910i. He
has a Nokia 9500 Communicator.
All I get is a blank screen with no sound with a progress bar running
across the top of the screen for approx 10secs.
As near as I can tell the voice recording he is attempting to send is an
'AMR' type file.
I can record a message on my P910i and send it to him with no problem.
Anyone any ideas where the problem may be?
