k500i PC Communications

I have recently purchased a PAYG Sony Ericsson K500i to replace my old
Nokia 3510i. At the same time I bought the Sony Ericsson UBB Cable
DCU-11 to allow me to transfer stuff to/from my phone to the computer.

I have followed the instructions for installing the driver for the
cable and that part seems fine. When I connect the cable to the
computer it shows up as being attached to COM Port 3 as is enabled.

Now the problem is I can't seem to be able to transfer any data
between the phone and the PC. I have intalled the File Manager
Software, Image Editor Software and Mobile Networking Software which I
downloaded from the Sony Ericsson site. How do I transfer
pictures/clips from the phone ?

Also under the Device Manager there's an entry under "Other Devices"
for K500 Series which has a yellow ! symbol with the following error:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

What driver does this need ? I have tried allowing it to search the
internet for it and also pointed it to the cd that came with the cable
with no luck.

Any help with this problem would be most appreciated.
