T610 lockup problem

Posted: 01-15-2005, 07:27 PM
Hi
I have a T610 and every now and again [about once every week/two weeks] it
locks up, crashes if u like.

It wont do anything ie switch off etc. I have to physically remove the
battery for 5 mins or so before it will work again.

I have no idea why this happens :-(

if i just remove the battery then put it straight back in, i can enter my
pin number but pressing "ok" does nothing. The battery has to be out for a
few mins at least.

If it helps: the phone is **not** chocka block full of
ringtones/games/pictures etc but the phone is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'd really appreciate any helpers.

cheers

Sounds like new firmware is needed. Free for the 1st year.

Not if you take/send the phone to an SE service centre, network provider if
branded or the chain you got it from. Some people buy/borrow an unlocking
cable & do it themselves (with varying degrees of success).

Mine was done recently buy my supplier CPW here in the UK. There's no
guarantee that your contacts, ringtones, pictures etc won't be wiped in the
process - I sync mine with Outlook so reloading contacts is fairly painless
but all voice labels, ringtone & picture associations will need to be
re-entered if the case.
