Latest software

I'm trying to instasll the latest SonyEricsson Suite for my P900 - I'm told
the saoftware for P910i is backward compatible.

However, when the install completes it says something about sync database
install not completing and when I place phone on the sync stand it asks me
to identify the phone and then tells me it cannot find drivers - or
something of that kind.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. without effect.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
