Sony Ericsson P910i: Opera nonfunctioning and won't fully uninstall

Thanks for the tip. After tearing my hair out for two hours, I have worked
this out now. For anyone else confounded by this (Google shows I'm not the
only one), the problem was caused by:

1 - On my old handset (P800) I installed Opera to run direct from my Memory
Stick.
2 - After installing Opera on my new handset (P910), I inserted the memory
stick from my old handset
3 - Opera runs fine
4 - On rebooting the phone, another version of the application is found on
the memory stick. This confuses the handset and breaks Opera.
5 - Uninstall just removes Opera from the C-drive, but the application
remains on the memory stick and therefore remains in the list of
applications, even though it will not work without a few key files on the
C-drive
6 - Master reset wipes the C-drive, but as the application has been
installed on the memory stick, Opera remains listed and non-functioning
7 - To fix this, either format the memory stick, or put it back in the old
handset, uninstall Opera, then put it back in the new handset. Reinstalling
Opera on the new handset works fine now.
