P900 - PC (WIN98SE) connection problem

I have recently purchase a P900 and after I have instaled drivers and sync
software I had problems of syncronzizing with OUTLOOK 2000. I have solved it
by turning down AVG antivirus and Black ICE firewall, HotSync for VISOR and
InstallBuddy.
I do not know which of these programs has causing problems but now I can
sync with Outlook, but I can sync when I can connect.

Now it is very hard to establish a connection between PC and P900. The
connection monitor start seraching on COM 1, and when I connect phone it
start connecting but it never connect.

Is there a way to see what is happening and what can I do to resolve it.

I have been in Control panel and in System/device manager/ports everything
looks fine and speed is et to 115000 (roughly).. In Phone monitor options
all ports are enabled.

I ahve turned down every program in Task manager but nothing works.

Any idea?
