S700i : any opinions yet ?

I'm interested in only 1 thing, and that is how bulky is it ? I owned a Z600
before and got rid of it because of the bulky size.

The rest of the specs of the S700i are ok with me.

The S700 is pretty big (4.23 x 1.93 x .96 in versus the Z600 3.5 x 1.9 x 1.1
in) and heavy (heavier than the Z600), and I think it's a shame that the big
screen isn't touch sensitive. Review, mostly of the camera:

Sample pictures aren't terribly impressive.

I personally see little merit to a mediocre camera in a phone -- I'd rather
carry a good small digital camera (e.g., Sony DSC-P8), with some of
connectivity to my phone (Bluetooth and/or Memory Stick). With a strong
position in both product areas, but no integration, I think Sony is missing a
good opportunity.

Heh.

Considering there is no way to protect the display from errant touches,
I don't think that's such a bad thing that it doesn't have a touch screen!

This is why my Nikon E5700 is always in my bag if I want to take
pictures. I do use the camera now and then though on my K700 and 6600.
It's just a matter of how badly I need the image.

I use my on-handset camera most often at work, capturing whiteboards!

It could be locked, just like the P800/900 with flip removed.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. I never liked having the flip off on my
P900 though. But it was the only way it'd fit into a Vaja case. Boo!

Though if SE made the UI more "finger friendly" and didn't require a
stylus, that would be pretty slick on a device like the S700.
