T637: Music DJ (Melodies Composer)

Posted: 06-27-2004, 02:05 PM
Hi. I just got my first Sony Ericsson phone which is the t637 model.
I read the manuals about Music DJ and I have no clue on how to use it.
I've searched the internet infor about composing melodies but all of
them were giving me melodies notes as letter, pund(#),etc. When I open
my Music DJ to compose, I see these square boxes with the
drum, guitar, piano, flute. Then when I press insert, I have to pick
number and the type of intrument. Example below:

Drums
1. Groove 1
2. Groove 2
3. Salsa 1
4. Salsa 2
5. Reggae 1
6. Reggae 2
7. Techno

and numbers keep going and going with the other 3 instruments. Please
if you have any info on how I can get or website that gives the
numbers I need to put on my phone to have newest songs. Thank You.

If you don't find an answer another way of getting the latest songs is to
download them via a PC and then transferring them to the T637 using
Bluetooth, cable, IRDA or WAP, the songs should be in midi format. A site
that has a lot of free ringtones is http://www.mobile9.com they also have a
midi request thread (polyphonic ringtone request thread) in their downloads
forum where you can request a song for your new phone.

Hope this helps in someway

Music DJ is (very briefly) outlined here:

I haven't used this but I have the same phone. If I figure it out
maybe I'll post an overview here.

What I did to save myself some time instead (and something I suggest
to everyone interested in uploading/backing up data) was I bought a
t610/t616/etc. cable from eBay and used float mobile agent to upload
everything from ringtones to themes. Here's the dealer I got it from:
