Using both the T610 s serial ports

Posted: 02-10-2004, 06:17 PM
Hi,

I would like to use FLOAT and the XTND until at the same time. But it
looks like both need excusive access to the virtual serial port. In
"My Bluetooth Places\Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood\T610" I found two
serial ports, so I thought it would be nice to have port 1 connected
to com8 and port2 to com9. Therefore I added an extra serial port in
the "client applications" tab of the Bluetooth configuration screen of
my USB Bluetooth donge which is based on the Widcomm chip.

However I can not select a different com-port to connect to the serial
ports of my T610. Right clicking and selecting properties of either
serial ports in "My Bluetooth Places\Entire Bluetooth
Neighborhood\T610" gives a screen in which the com-port is greyed out.
And Bluetooth setup wizzard -> configure specific device (option 2) ->
T610 -> serial port 1 (or serial port 2) [configure] -> gives the same
properties screen, where the serial port is not greyed out, but where
I can only select com8.

Could someone explain to me how to change the virtual com-port that is
linked to one of the two serial ports on the T610?

Thanx

Sylvain
