bluejacking with a T610?

Posted: 01-11-2004, 03:50 PM
Can bluejacking be done with a T610? As i was walking round Sainsburys this
morning I did a device search and discovered a nokia 6310 in the vicinity -
alas I couldn't pair with it as i didnt know that password. I assumed I
could send my business card w/o needing to pair, but when I tried to do this
I found the 6310 wasn't added to my device list! Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Steve

If my business networking skills were lowered to having to Bluejack on a
Sunday morning in Sainsburys via my Mobile phone using another variation of
SPAM, then I would really take a look at my sales techniques.

After that, have you tried here?

I was being sarcastic anyway...I usually try it on the train into London
with my Ipaq...
It depends on what security levels they have set on their BT device.

also, they may have been in range when you first searched for BT devices and
then out of range when you wanted to send them your contact. That's why
trains, restaurants and places where people are stationary are best for
bluejacking. The others are not impossible, but you have to be quick! Try
here also for info, http://www.bluejacking.info/
Enjoy

you don't pair the items up, go to phone book create a contact and in
the name field type your message. save the contact, go to manage
contact, select the contact (the message you just wrote) then go to
more and choose send contact and choose to send it via bluetooth. if
there is any bluetooth enabled device within range with bluetooth
enabled and showing then it will come up on the screen, select the
bluetooth contact on the screen and the message will be sent.

bluejackq.com has a lot of information on bluejacking and a useful
forum.

yes it can, in fact most (if not all) Bluetooth enabled devices can, you
should check out www.bluejackq.com you don't pare the devices instead you go
to your contact you want to send and press send then via Bluetooth, it will
search for a device and you select the device you want to send the contact
to and send it.

hope this helps
