Is it not liable to VAT and import tax?

There's quite a few on there,
and one has a 99% positive feedback rating with around 170 feedback.
£69 + £6 shipping.

Anyone know a reason why I shouldn't go for it ?

£89 at mobilefun.co.uk
£91 at expansys
£94 at time2talk

I can't decide whether to go for the 65,
or the HBH-200 with it's flashy little gizmo.

I am looking at both the same headsets as you.
I think the 200 would get in the way when driving, like normal earpieces do.
The 65 looks like u have stuck a peg to the side of your head...

Gonna have to get one soon though.

I would check this out with customs - check out the customs & excise
website.

http://www.hmce.gov.uk/

Give them a call - not sure how it works with purchases, but with gifts you
are allowed a limit of £145. I have bought some items from abroad on ebay &
other websites and have not been charged duty or VAT yet.

Same here, some items seem to get through and others get stiffed for import
tax. I've had electronic goods get through okay but got stiffed for import
tax on an aluminium PDA case.

Yes it will be. However, if items are sent via the post office in Hong Kong
(and delivered by the Royal Mail here) then you do often avoid paying VAT
and duty. The reason for this is because Royal Mail get millions of packages
each year from abroad and cannot check all of them. If the sender marks it
as a gift then there is a good chance that it will reach you without having
been opened and therefore you will have no extra to pay. It is down to luck
of the draw.
If it is sent using a courier (e.g. DHL) then they may pay the duty on your
behalf (because the sender will have to tell his local office how much the
parcel is worth) and then send you the bill afterwards.

Same here. I bought an HBH-20 (ok, so it's a much cheaper product) and there
were no problems.

With a bluetooth handsfree, I'd be more cautious, mainly because of the
warranty situation (not sure how it works with SE, but I know that Nokia
products do not have an international warranty).
