Nokia phones reuse the image names when you move old images. Thus you
get a lot of images called "Bilde001, Bilde002, Bilde003" (or
"Image001..." in english). And if the file date is messed up you loose
track of the shooting date as well.
My Nikon digital camera has a feature in it's sync software that makes
it possible to include shooting date (and time) in the filename on the
PC when trasferring.
This is very useful as many picture browsers or DVD-players only show
the filename (and not the file date and time). And sorting is always
easy :-)
That would be a GREAT idea for OPM as well I think (great sales trick
too :-)
Instead of saving the image as "Bilde001.jpg" you could check the
option "Rename files to track date and time" and it is saved as
"20060314-221054.jpg" instead (or there could be more options to save
only date, or to retain the picture number, like "20060314-001.jpg" or
maybe even "20060314-221054-001.jpg").
