I have used these guys and was happy with the result: http://www.cellularpager.com/unlock.html This is a brick and mortar establishment in California with a phone they answer, not some no name no phone no where web site. I sent my phone to them priority mail, they unlocked it the same day they got it and sent it right back. Beats heck out of wasting your time trying to do it yourself at some risk of screwing things up. I think I paid around $27 with shipping costs figured in.
