Nokia PC Suite??

Maybe someone will be able to correct me, if I'm wrong..

Nokia PC suite, with Nokia 6230 and/or 6230i.

"Back up settings to PC"

WHAT exactly DOES this do??

The reason I ask the question, is that when I have my handset s/w flashed,
and effect the backup, I expect (as it says on the suite) to back up:-
Telephone book, phone settings, multimedia settings etc etc.

I have found that when I have restored contents to my phone (having had ALL
the boxes checked when backed up and restored), I find

Telephone book, IS re-instated to phone. Fine
MMS settings. NOT restored
E-Mail settings. NOT restored
GPRS settings. NOT restored
Ringtones per caller group. NOT restored
Appended images to names in phone book. NOT restored
Assosiated ringtones to names/groups. NOT resored
Cell info setting (display of postcode). NOT restored
Security measures. NOT restored
Ringtone (normal) NOT restored.

Hey, but is restores the phone book!!

Have I got something wrong here, or is this just another Nokiaism??

It DOES make it clear in the "suite" that settings etc will be backed up,
for restore.

Look forward to hearing (reading) anyone elses experiences.
