PC Suite won't uninstall - Help!

I had that problem with an older version, i just renamed the nokia folder in
Program Files and it worked ok after that.

I had a similar adventure with 5.4 being on the machine and trying to put
6.4.1 in it's place. No joy and Nokia's registry cleaner didn't help AT
ALL.

What worked was firing up regedit and searching for 'nokia' and manually
deleting every last one of the damned things. Not for the inexperienced as
you can really screw things up playing around in the registry.

What *might* have worked would have been to dig up the original PC suite
installer (for the right version) and use that to Remove the app. I was
travelling and couldn't find the old version online.

What SHOULD have worked was the registry cleaner from Nokia. It's bad
enough their crappy installer isn't smart enough but to have the cleaner
fail is just inexcusable.

But hey, PC suite's so eff'ing HORRIBLE that it's not like I'd expected any
better...

had same problem.
was caused by trying to upgrade from 6.41 to 6.5.
seems to get confused and leaves 6.41 hanging around.
What works is to re-install 6.41 again and then uninstall it.

Best thing to do with hindsight is to uninstall old one before trying to
load the new one.

Thanks to all for all the advice. Last time I had this problem I had to use
Regedit to remove about 1000 entries, was hoping to avoid the same. Looks as
though I will have to resort to that, as nothing else suggested has worked.
