pc suite problems

off the nokia site and not use the one on the supplied disk. i also had to
download the software drivers for the cable. however somehow i managed to
muck up the pc suite and so i thought i'd just re-install it. however, i
can't uninstall it and when i try to install over the top it says that there
is already a mediaplayer working and it can't be installed until it's
stopped. however through ctrl, alt and delete i can't see a player running.
how can i reinstall the suite or stop the media player, so that i can
reinstall pc suite.
