irDA connection problems finally solved !!!
Posts: n/a I finally found the reason for the irDA connection problems with the nokia pc suite on XP ! My infrared connection was very unreliable and disconnected frequently without any reason. By switching of all other connections (USB, serial) in the Nokia Connection manager, I force the nokia PC suite to stick with the infrared connection and this seems to solve all my problems :-D Eric  Responses to "irDA connection problems finally solved !!!"

Have you tried slowing down the speed for the IR port? Worked for me when I had problems sync-ing my laptop and phone.

No, the irDA is too frigging slow anyways. I bought myself a cheap DKU-2 cable clone which is stable and somewhat faster. Still, the only effective way to transfer masses of data to the phone's MMC card is to use an USB card reader. Besides, the problem of flaky irDA seems to be fixed after getting firmware 5.24.
