Nokia 2650 Cable/Connectivity

Posted: 01-23-2005, 09:55 PM
Hey people,

I've been searching the web for a few days now trying to find
information about how to connect a Nokia 2650 to my PC using a cable.
I've been less than successful. I haven't actualy bought the phone
yet and won't if I can't connect it using the Nokia Data Suite.

Has ANYONE got a definitive answer on whether not it's possible?

Thanks,

jPc

It's not possible. 2650 has no Nokia standard data-interface.

I imagine that if it becomes very popular, there will some third party
cables connecting to the internal connectors under the battery inside
the phone. Just like other Nokia models without the data cable
connector.

I disagree. Oxygen phone manager has an interface to connect, and doing
a froogle.google.com search for nokia 2650 data cable comes up with a
few :

With what do you disagree?

the lack of standard data interface?
or
the availability of data cables in Jan 2005?
or
the position of the internal connectors?

I agree as well. I came across a place on eBay I just bought a cable for
for my recently purchased 2651.

This is the store I bought from:
http://stores.ebay.com/id=135331433&ssPageName=L2

$11.00 ain't bad for a cable that can be used with 15+ models
