6600 Firmware flash

If I take my 6600 to a Nokia Repair Centre, how do they flash the firmware?

Will they have to open the case?

They'll connect the phone to an FLS-4 flashing adaptor connected to a
computer and use Phoenix to flash it.

On a 6600 the contacts are behind the battery, so no they won't have to open
the case.
