Hi, can anyone tell me if the 6230 will run apps and games made for another
phone model.

Yes.

But not symbian of course.

Java games & apps Series 40 is the keywords you need.

Sure, it will run just about anything meant for the Nokia series-40
platform, e.g. 6100, 3200, 7250, 7600(what a nice phone this is...honest),
