you probably didnt read or understand the manual properly and cant pair
successfully...
otherwise the ngage works fine with bluetooth headsets...
heres a short tip...put the headset in bluetooth discovery mode....then
discover it with the ngage...and make sure no other bluetooth (pc dongle
etc) are active as this confuses the headset apiring procedure...
cheers

It can sometimes depend on the firmware in the headset. For example,
an older Jabra 200 won't work with a Nokia 6600. Whether it's the
firmware in the Nokia or the Jabra that is to blame is debatable. But
on the Jabra, at least, there is a number printed on the headset
telling you the firmware edition and if it is an old one it won't
always work with a Nokia phone. (AFAIK Jabra will replace headsets
with dated firmware free of charge.)
You don't say what brand your headet is, but hth anyway...
