5210 connections

Posted: 08-21-2004, 07:07 PM
Hi I'd like to experiment with connecting to my (knackered) old 5210.
Actually it's a 5230, I don't know what the difference is.

It's a very low budget project, I don't want to buy a cable,
especially as it wouldn't fit my newer phone. I imagine the cable
contains a MAX232 or similar chip to convert TTL to RS232 levels. Can
anyone confirm this and pass on the pinout, I can only find dead
links. Why is this info so hard to find ?

Thanks muchly in advance,

Alex

As per our data, there is no '5230' model, but only 5210. We can
suggest to have a look in various GSM topsites. For example, here:

http://www.topsitez.org/

Also, just, have a look at Oxygen Phone Manager II (
http://www.opm-2.com/ ), when you will assemble the cable. OPM-II is
the best multi-functional phone management program.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum
http://www.opm-2.com/forum/
