6600 and jabra bt250 problems

Posted: 08-14-2004, 06:01 AM
I think its been posted before that there was a problem with this
combo because of software issues with the 6600.

Someone mentioned that when paired:

1. The damn phone won't ring.

Has this been fixed yet in any new revision?
Or is there a work around?

2. Battery life is shot to hell because it won't go into powersaving
mode.

Same question..any fixes?

Thx for any info.

Not exactly the reply you wanted, but I have the 6600 and a Step
Communications B/T headset, and all work fine.

It isn't an issue.

The 6600 uses Bluetooth Handsfree profile for the audio service. Some
handsets use Bluetooth Headset.

Yes. It's a feature.

No. It's a feature. It's designed more for in-car use than anything
else. There are new headsets from Jabra coming out that will ring and
show you caller ID information.

You probably want to get one of those when they come out.

True. I can help with that though. Set it up so that it switches to a
different profile when the headset is active, disable button and UI
"noise" and it will stop constantly sending every audio bit to the
headset over Bluetooth.

Please don't Top Reply if you can avoid it. It breaks the continuity of
the discussion!

Yes, a lot of people hadn't done their homework. You could always flip
the Jabra on eBay I reckon, and wait for something sexier such as these
bad boys:

I don't know about you, but I really, really got excited by that press
release. Hopefully they start shipping these things to retailers soon.
I can't wait.

cheers,
