6600 Warranty - Result

With apologies, I can't find my original post to continue the thread (as a
lifelong AOL user I'm not dead good with Outlook <ashamed>).

Anyway, the original problem was the middle battery contact fell off my
6600, local service centre quoted a huge repair time with a big bill as this
wasn't covered by warranty.

What actually happened was Nokia, having looked at the phone, replaced it in
4 days with a new handset.

So, hurrah for Nokia and boo to the service centre.

Incidentally, if anyone has tried a full restore from PC Suite for 6600 then
(assuming you can get it to connect (see many other posts on this point)) it
works very well. It's like starting with a completely blank phone and
having your old one back in every detail when it's done. I only mention
this as the restore feature for the non-Symbian PC Suite didn't work quite
so comprehensively.
